Ideas and opinions took centre stage at the Inter-House Debate Competition at Delhi Public School, Gangtok, where students demonstrated confidence, clarity, critical thinking and impressive oratory skills.
The competition encouraged students to research, develop a sound argument and think carefully about issues. Students in the Junior Category discussed the impact of using AI tools in the classroom, while students in the Senior Category discussed the impact of online advocacy as opposed to on-ground protest.
Students had the opportunity to share their ideas and hear and react to other opinions in lively and engaging debates. These activities enhance children’s ability to communicate, their logical thinking and their confidence as speakers.
