DPS Inter-House Science Challenge 2026

Delhi Public School, Gangtok, successfully organised the DPS Inter-House Science Challenge 2026, bringing together enthusiastic young minds from the Preparatory, Middle, and Senior Wings for an engaging celebration of science, innovation, curiosity, and discovery.

The competition was designed to provide students with a platform to move beyond conventional classroom learning and demonstrate their understanding of scientific concepts through experimentation, observation, reasoning, creativity, and problem-solving. The event encouraged participants to think critically, work confidently under pressure, and apply their knowledge to practical situations.

The competition featured three engaging rounds. The first round involved shortlisting participants, followed by an Interview Round that tested students' conceptual understanding, scientific awareness, and ability to articulate their thoughts. The final Surprise Science Challenge added an element of excitement, as participants were given scientific activities on the spot and challenged to perform them and explain the principles behind their observations.

Throughout the competition, students displayed remarkable scientific temperament, conceptual clarity, creativity, and enthusiasm. Their ability to observe, analyse, reason, and communicate demonstrated the importance of experiential learning in developing a deeper understanding of science.

The Inter-House Science Challenge was more than just a competition—it was an opportunity for students to question, explore, experiment, and think beyond the textbook. It fostered healthy competition while encouraging collaboration, confidence, and a genuine appreciation for the fascinating world of science.

DPS Gangtok congratulates all the participating students for their enthusiastic involvement and commendable efforts. The event was a wonderful celebration of curiosity, innovation, and the spirit of scientific inquiry, inspiring our young learners to continue exploring, discovering, and asking the questions that lead to new possibilities.
