Legacy of DPS

From its inception at the President’s Estate in 1941 as Church Christ School, through its transformation into Naveen Bharat School in 1947, to its establishment at Mathura Road in 1949, the journey of Delhi Public School (DPS) has been both remarkable and revolutionary. As India embarked on its path to independence, DPS emerged to meet the educational needs of a rapidly progressing nation.

Beginning with its flagship institution at DPS Mathura Road, followed by the establishment of DPS RK Puram in 1972, the DPS network has expanded to include 230 schools across the country. This steadfast growth underscores DPS’s unwavering commitment to serving society.

Nearly all DPS schools, whether in India or abroad, are affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the largest educational board in the country. This affiliation ensures that DPS remains a trusted name in quality education.
