Delhi Public School, Gangtok celebrated the 34th Nepali Bhasha Manyata Diwas with the theme, “Celebrating the Richness of Nepali Language, Literature and Culture.” The celebration highlighted the importance of language and its role in preserving cultural identity, traditions and heritage.
The event brought together literature, music and traditional art through a vibrant Maruni dance, a soulful musical presentation and a thought-provoking speech. Students also participated enthusiastically in a House-wise Nepali Poetry Recitation Competition, showcasing their confidence, creativity and appreciation for the Nepali language.
The performances reflected the richness of Nepali language and literature while giving students an opportunity to connect with their cultural roots. Through such celebrations, students learn to appreciate the diverse traditions that form an important part of the cultural landscape of Sikkim.
